For more than 100 years, this landmark winery in Barrancas, in the Maipu district of the province of Mendoza, has been producing exceptional quality fruit and singular character wines. Created by the visionary Don Sami Flichman in 1910, the estate was bought by Sogrape in 1998 that made tremendous investments to show their commitment of quality and integrity wines.
The original Flichman Winery and some of its estate, surrounded by vineyards, was preserved, restored & expanded. The most high-tech winemaking equipment now sits on the hundred year old property. Finca Flichman’s grapes are grown over 950 hectares, predominantly with noble varieties, including: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah (some of the oldest in the country), Malbec, Merlot and Chardonnay. The vineyards are located in two regions of Mendonza: Barrancas, 700 meters above sea level and center of Town Tupuganto which rises 1,100 meters above sea level.

The VARIETAL wines reflect an accessible “New World” taste profile, preserving the distinctive Argentine character. Fifty percent of the wine comes from Finca Flichman own vineyards in Barrancas and Tupungato and the remaining 50% from winegrowers with whom they have long term relations, The winemaking technique incorporates state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks.

PAISAJE wines are “ Terroir Wines” created to express the best we can get from Barrancas (700 mts above sea level) and Tupungato (1.100 mts above sea level) highlighting the distinctive differences in this sub-regions of Mendonza . Blends will vary in each vintage according to the best grapes we harvested in that specific year. Paisage de Barrancas is mainly Syrah while Tupungato is mainly Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Malbec and Merlot.

Parcela 26, Finca Flichman’s top wine, is entirely made of Malbec grapes. These grapes at their best phenolic ripeness and from a single plot of 1 ha., were harvested by hand in April 18th 2008 and carries in boxes of 12kg. each to our winery in Barrancas where rigorous grape selection was made.
