In 1990, The Massanez Family purchased a beautiful winery at the foot of the Andes in the Rapel Valley. Vina Los Boldos had been established in 1850, one of Chile’s oldest wineries and was planted with over 620 acres of vines planted in rocky soil reminiscent of the great vineyards in Europe.
With the wine making expertise of French oenologist Stephane Geneste and the well-know advisor Pedro Parra, the estate began producing wines that play with the terroir of the Casablanca Valley to enhance the potential of Los Boldos unique, heavily rock soils.
Vina los Boldos was purchased in 2008 by Sogrape. With an eye for emerging wine regions and a nose for purchasing wonderful land, Sogrape will continue the tradition of a family owned winery.

Momentos - Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine with a very good colour and an expressive nose. Red fruit notes dominate. Good example of Chilean Cabernet, well matured and tasty. In mouth, red fruit sush blackberry and cassis. Medium body wine that emphasizes the fruit and a touch of vanilla from the barrels.

Momentos - Sauvignon Blanc
Very bright and wide wine with greenish reflexes. In nose has a strong intensity, it highlights grape fruit and fresh pear. In mouth lime, guava and grapefruit flavors appear. Good presence of acidity gives it freshness.

Momentos - Carmenere
Emblematic strain of Chile. This Carménère stands out for its balance and its typical black chocolate, paprika and blackberry jelly flavors. At palate shows black fruit such blackberry and chocolate notes combined in a perfect balance. At the end it is a medium and complex body wine with soft tannins.

Momentos - Shiraz
Very typical wine of its kind. In mouth it highlights aromatic panel from Shiraz. At palate shows black-red fruit flavors combined with violets and fresh tobacco. Fresh and alive tannins in this character wine.

Momentos - Merlot
Wine with good color, marked by red fruit aromas such as raspberry and strawberry. At palate shows mature, red fruit with a hint of raspberry. Round and sweet tannins and wide end.

Sensaciones - Shiraz
Wine with a fantastic color, almost black. At palate it has great complexity that mixes the violet flavors with the tannin spices. Sweet, voluminous, it’s a great wine.

Sensaciones - Merlot
Good colored wine with marked red fruits aromas such as raspberry. At palate raspberry and strawberry. Barrel aging gives it spicy notes. Very elegant and soft wine, with velvety end.

Very good example of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, flavorfull and mature. At palate red fruit, jelly and spices. Very classy wine, balanced and marked by sweet and broad tannin.

Amalia
Amalia has a dark, almost black, very deep color. Its a rough, fleshy wine that highlights the liquorice, cloves, black pepper, as well as black fruits such as ripe berries and floral notes of violets and lavender. All of this with a pilsating acidity, nice and fresh with voluminous and elegant tannins. Wine full of complexity and elegance. At the same time subtle and extremely tasty.

Tradition - Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Tradition has a very deep dark red. The nose is powerful. Red fruits, mint and a slight touch of spices dominate. The mouth is elegant, with fresh tannins melted. It also has an attractive con-centration and good presence.

Tradition - Merlot
This Merlot Tradition is characterized by an intense ruby red color. In the nose very powerful notes of plum and red fruits appear. In mouth plum predominates. Silky tannins and good acidity wine. It is a wine with a nice aromatic persistence and with a perfect balance between acidity / alcohol and tannins.

This Carménère Tradition has an intense burgundy color and offers a complex nose of crystallized fruit, chocolate and blackberry jelly, at palate looks fruity, well structured and wide body with sweet tannins.

Tradition - Shiraz
This dark colored Shiraz Tradition has a very attractive nose that offers a typical Shiraz aromatic panel. In nose it highlights spice aromas, black pepper and prickly. In mouth wide and round tannins ap-pear combined with red fruit with pepper and spices; it highlights fresh tobacco and prickly. Good concentration, this Shiraz has a very long end.

Grand Reserve - Cabernet Sauvignon
This Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep color with purple refl ections. Very expressive nose offers aromas of red fruits were cassis dominates. At palate shows mature, black red fruit; leather notes, clove and a touch of smoky appear. The mouth provides soft and round tannins.

This Carménère Grand Reserve, is the emblematic strain of Chile and offers a chocolate and blackberry nose. The mouth shows mature red blackberry notes; sweet with round and silky tannins. Low acidity wine, very mild.

VIEILLES VIGNES is one of Chateau Line’s Ultra Premium wines. Old Vignes in Alto Cachopoal (Sauvignon Blanc from 1936, Chardonnay grapes from 1948 and Merlot grapes from 1959) aged 12 months in new French oak barrels. The ideal climate of its valley, its fertile soils combined with Traditional winegrowing practices and meticulous manual cultivation, Vielles Vignes is distinguished by its delicate fragrance and rich quality.

Vieilles Vignes - Chardonnay
This Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes, comes from the oldest vineyards from VIÑA LOS BOLDOS. It has golden yellow color. In nose, intense acacia and fresh almond aromas. The palate shows pineapple, almond, cream, lactic fl avors, toasted, with a hint of vanilla that brings oak presence. In the end, mouth evolves to bees wax notes.

Vieilles Vignes - Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc Vieilles Vignes, comes from the oldest vineyards from VIÑA LOS BOLDOS, It has a very delicate nose, were grapefruit stands. The mouth gives good volume. The palate shows lime, grapefruit and guava.

GRAND CRU is our icon wine made exclusively with Alto Cachapoal grapes only in exceptional harvest years. Grand Cru is an assemblage of the best Cabernet Sauvignon planted in 1948 and Merlot planted in 1959. The handpicked grapes are aged 12 months in 100% French oak barrels. This unfiltered wine is the finest expression of Chilean and French tradition in winemaking.

This Icon wine Grand Cru, it’s an assembly of our best Cabernet Sauvignon and merlot Vieilles Vignes. It has a deep color. In nose exhales notes to cedar, leather, fresh tobacco and red fruit such as cassis. In mouth mature black red fruit appear. It’s a wine of voluminous tannic structure, very round, with a
persistent end. It’s the perfect alliance between Merlot and Cabernet.
